I have just finished my 6-week mentorship with Next Level Songs, and it was a good growing experience for me with my songwriting. It all started when I attended the Next Level Songs retreat back in April, and I was given the mentoring opportunity through God’s provision. Now, I am excited to be telling you what is coming, as I am trusting God for His guidance in my songwriting ministry.
During my retreat experience God specifically called me to write songs for the church. (Gal. 6:9-10) I was able to write an average of three songs a week during the mentorship with God’s help, and I am going to continue doing this. I will be writing worship songs primarily, and my heart is to write songs out of love for the church. I will also be co-writing with others as I have the opportunity to do so.
Also, I am excited to be telling you that God is calling me to go out and serve Him wherever I can, by encouraging others in testimony and songs for His glory. I have set up an events page for you to check out what is coming up on my calendar in the near future. Please pray for me as this is a bold undertaking for me, but one that the Holy Spirit will enable me for as I prepare to go.
Also, in September I am very excited and overwhelmed for the GAP Songwriter’s Intensive that I will be attending in Franklin, TN. This will be a blessing, as I will be able to write with some amazing writers in the music industry. I took a step of faith in this, because I am totally trusting God for the funds. Although, after prayerfully considering my next steps, I feel that the Holy Spirit is leading me in this direction, as well. Please pray for me in preparation for this event, that the Lord will enable and give inspiration for me to record and write songs in keeping with the goals.
I am humbly asking for prayer in all of these things, as all of these new happenings in my life will come with trials, and struggles too. Please pray that I will stay closely grounded to what God wants to do through me as I minister for His glory, and write songs to build up the church. Please leave your comments as they are a huge encouragement to me, as I continue to step out in faith with God at the helm.
